HD Mechanic: Mandurah
Job Purpose:
A Mechanic is a part of the workshop team reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, Supervisor or Operations Manager. Your work will be a critical factor in the Company’s overall performance. WS’s will be responsible to carry out routine services and repairs to ensure all vehicles in the fleet are continually running at their maximum potential. The goal is to ensure the smooth running of business according to established policies and vision.
Relationships & Authorities:
Reports to Workshop Manager or Operations Manager
Relationships Workshop Administration Assistant / Workshop Staff / Auto Electrician / General Assistant / Operators
Responsibility: General Duties
Tasks including but not limited to:
* Carry out routine vehicle service as directed
* Carry out vehicle repairs as required
* Record all service work done for vehicle history records including data entry in ATG’s CMMS
* Report the need for additional service or repairs to vehicles that has been detected during routine inspections
* Report the need for repairs and maintenance of workshop equipment
* Ensure all tools and equipment that are used are safe and pre inspected
* Observe and maintain a high level of safety at all times
* Report non conformances and assist in resolution
* Assist with or carry out in-process and final inspection as needed
* Comply with all Company procedures including Workplace Health and Safety procedures
* Ensure the workshop is maintained in a clean and safe state
* Carry out general workshop duties as directed
Qualifications:
* Relevant trade certificate
* Previous experience in vehicle service workshops Skills and Experience: Mechanical aptitude and flexibility
* Experience working with heavy vehicles or in transport workshop environments
* Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
* Ability to use diagnostic tools and precision instruments
* Understanding of vehicle safety and compliance standards
* HR/MR license (desirable)
