We are seeking an experienced
API Integration Support Specialist
to join a fast-paced technology environment delivering critical, large-scale digital solutions that support a national program with real community impact.
This is an initial
5-month contract
with a
12-month extension option
, commencing
February 2026
. The role is based in
NSW
with
hybrid working arrangements
(minimum 3 days per week in the office).
You will work within a Schemes and Payments technology environment, supporting and maintaining enterprise API platforms and working closely with internal teams, external vendors, and digital partners. The role focuses on ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of API integrations that underpin mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Support digital partners to register, subscribe to, and consume APIs
* Configure, maintain, and support APIs and applications using
MuleSoft
and
IBM API Connect
* Perform API and environment testing as required
* Monitor and report on end-to-end API health, performance, and usage metrics
* Troubleshoot integration issues and work with external vendors to resolve incidents
* Collaborate with Level 3 support, developers, and technical teams to resolve complex issues
* Assist partners with authentication and access-related issues
* Produce customised reports and dashboards in consultation with IT and business stakeholders
* Raise and manage support tickets with vendors
* Develop and maintain support documentation, processes, and configuration artefacts
* Apply
ITIL
best practices for incident and service request management
* Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups and sprint activities
* Handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
Essential Skills & Experience
* 2-3 years' experience working with
APIs and/or integration technologies
* Proven experience working effectively in
high-pressure environments
* Demonstrated experience working in
Scrum/Agile
delivery teams
* Strong quality-focused mindset with experience improving and streamlining processes
* Ability to work in a
DevOps environment
, supporting CI/CD pipelines
* Solid understanding of API and integration concepts with the ability to quickly learn new platforms and adapt to complex, mission-critical systems
* Hands-on administration or configuration experience with
MuleSoft
and/or
IBM API Connect
* Exposure to
CRM systems
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Interest in accessibility and inclusive design principles, with a willingness to adopt new ways of thinking
