Overview
An excellent opportunity to work within a growing business and be part of the Equans Fire Protection Services team in Queensland. With work located across South East Queensland, the successful applicant will ensure the effective servicing, inspection, and testing of fire protection equipment such as fire detection systems, portables, passive and exit and emergency lighting systems, non‑pumped hose‑reels and hydrants. This role delivers essential services in accordance with the relevant Australian Standards and takes a proactive approach to exceeding customer service expectations at every opportunity.

What You Will Be Doing
* Survey customer premises and recommend fire protection and safety systems and equipment, in accordance with Equans procedures and processes and relevant Australian Standards.
* Identify, inspect, and test fire protection and safety systems and equipment – including emergency & exit lighting, portables, and passive equipment.
* Complete and provide evidence of maintenance performed on fire protection systems and equipment using logbooks and associated documents in an accurate manner.
* Drive commitment to the highest standards of business code of conduct, maximise efficiencies via route planning, time management, stock management and service delivery.
* Manage and maintain all assigned company property, including documents, tools, equipment.
* Report work progress and performances by completing productivity KPI reports.
* Be on call and attend call outs as per rostered requirements.
* Comply with company and client welfare, health & safety and environment policies and procedures.
* Recommend improved business processes by actively engaging in quality programmes.
* Comply with all customer requirements, as defined by the customer contract.
* Attend all scheduled training programs.
* Ensure highest level of presentation as an Equans employee.
* Work reasonable overtime to meet contractual requirements, including weekends and working away.

What You Need
* A solid knowledge of applicable Australian Standards relevant to fixed systems fire protection equipment would be highly regarded.
* Strong dexterity and aptitude for problem solving.
* High standard of written and oral communication skills.
* Analytical skills in reviewing activities and identifying key actions to deliver continuous improvement.
* Able to keep up to date with product and industry knowledge, and an understanding of where to locate the relevant information.
Your Qualifications
* Certificate II Fire Protection Inspection and Testing.
* QBCC – Fire Protection – Portables (Install and Maintain).
* QBCC – Fire Protection – Passive (Test and Inspect).
* Driver's licence.
* White card / construction induction card.
* Working at heights.
* Elevated Work Platform (EWP) 11 metres (Desirable).
* Open cablers registration (Desirable).
* Elevated Work Platform (EWP) over 11m (Desirable).
* Extinguishing agent handling licence (EAHL) (Highly desirable).
* CPR/LVR (Desirable).
