We are seeking a General Manager – Safety, HR & Training to lead our national teams in safety, training, HR & payroll and help shape the future of CJD Equipment's culture, safety, and workforce capability.
About the Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, this senior role oversees our Training, HR, Payroll and WHS functions. You will provide direction, build high performance teams and lead initiatives that strengthens CJD Equipment capability, culture and engagement.
As a key advisor to the Managing Director and Executive Team, you will champion best‑practice safety and ensure our people's experience aligns with our values. You'll lead a talented group of HR, Safety, Payroll and Training professionals who provide essential support to operational managers across the country.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, develop and elevate national teams across Training, HR, Payroll and Safety and support them as they support the operational managers across the business
* Shape and implement people-centric strategies that enhance capability, culture and performance
* Partner with the Managing Director as a trusted advisor on organisational matter
* Drive continuous improvement in safety, wellbeing, workforce planning and learning
* Oversee the development of compliant, contemporary HR and WHS framework
* Champion a positive, inclusive culture where people feel supported to thrive and perform
* Lead the evolution of systems, processes and practices to strengthen organisational effectiveness.
About You
You are an authentic, inspiring and forward-thinking leader who thrives on building strong teams and delivering meaningful results. You bring:
* Demonstrated senior leadership experience across HR, Payroll, Safety, Training or related disciplines
* Relevant tertiary qualifications
* A collaborative approach to leading teams, and delivering support and leadership across the areas of responsibility to operational managers and leaders
* Capability in driving organisational performance
* Exceptional communication, relationship building and influencing skills
* Experience and expertise around systems & processes (including technology-based tools) in safety, payroll and HR
