As a senior engineer you will apply our global network of skills and decades of experience to create positive water outcomes that respect nature and nurture communities.
Responsibilities
* Deliver water and wastewater projects (networks or treatment plants) across NSW, Australia and internationally, providing technical guidance for small, medium and large‑scale projects (capex in the hundreds of millions).
* Lead technical and project management for key initiatives, mentoring other team members.
* Prepare proposals, investigations and technical design projects, developing solutions and technical reports, designs & specifications, client proposals and presentations.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, including business development and engagement throughout project delivery.
* Work closely with clients to develop innovative technical solutions in wastewater and water treatment.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
* 8–12 years of relevant experience in water or wastewater networks or treatment plants.
* Strong leadership, client‑relationship and project‑management skills.
* Experience preparing winning proposals.
* Design or planning skills in water or wastewater networks or treatment, including technical reports, engineering drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
* Familiarity with civil or hydraulic design software.
* Design or project‑management experience, with a willingness to mentor junior staff.
Working Arrangements
This role offers flexibility – part‑time or full‑time – and you can be based in Newcastle or any of our Northern NSW offices (Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Tuggerah, Tamworth, Orange or Lismore).
