Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Lifestyle Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents by developing, planning and implementing lifestyle activities and programs that promote their social, psychological, recreational cultural and spiritual wellbeing.
The ideal candidate will have a kind heart and a passion for providing high quality care to the elderly. They will be responsible for encouraging resident choice and participation in individual and group activities, conducting resident assessments to gain a deeper understanding of each resident's preferences and needs, and planning and implementing innovative events and lifestyle activities for residents and where possible involving the wider community, volunteers and residents' families and friends.
About the Role
This role requires a strong communication skillset and a positive attitude, with the ability to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families. The successful candidate will also need to have a commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs of residents, as well as great IT skills which will be tested during the recruitment process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, plan and implement lifestyle activities and programs for residents.
* Conduct resident assessments to gain a deeper understanding of each resident's preferences and needs.
* Plan and implement innovative events and lifestyle activities for residents and where possible involving the wider community, volunteers and residents' families and friends.
* Act as team leader, providing coaching, supervision and guidance to the lifestyle team.
