We are seeking a passionate and commercially minded Category Development professional to join our team on a fixed-term, 12 month contract supporting the Soft Drinks & Mixers portfolio. As Category Manager, you will play a key role in driving sustainable category growth through insight-led strategy and execution. Partnering closely with Sales, Marketing and key retail customers, you'll deliver category leadership, uncover growth opportunities and strengthen Asahi Beverages' position as a trusted advisor in market.
Key Accountabilities
* Category Strategy and Planning
* Develop and lead category strategies aligned to business and customer objectives
* Identify growth opportunities across range & space
* Translate insights into actionable plans and selling stories
* Build strong relationships with key retail partners
* Deliver customer-specific recommendations and reviews
* Support Joint Business Planning with insight‐led thinking
* Analyse data (Nielsen, Circana, shopper data) to identify trends
* Monitor category and competitor performance
* Deliver clear insights and presentations
* Lead range review recommendations
* Develop space and merchandising principles
* Partner on in‐store execution
* Partner with Marketing, Sales and innovation teams
* Support customer engagement and execution
* Contribute to planning and category strategy
About You
* Solid experience across Category, Trade Marketing and/or Account Management
* FMCG experience with major accounts (Woolworths, Coles)
* Strong ability to influence both internally and externally
* Experience working with scan/shopper data (Circana, Quantium and Summit highly regarded)
* Strong presentation skills, both verbal and visual
