An established manufacturing and Design & Construct business is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support continued growth across NSW.
This role is focused on early-stage project identification and relationship development, working closely with builders, architects and consultants to secure front‐end engagement on upcoming data centre and complex commercial projects. It will suit a proactive, market-facing BDM who is comfortable working upstream and influencing projects before tender.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and qualify new project opportunities using BCI, EstimateOne and other market intelligence platforms
* Proactively approach builders, architects, consultants and developers to introduce the business and secure early involvement
* Build and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities, tracking project stages, tender timelines and key decision-makers
* Conduct meetings with builders and architectural practices to understand project drivers, design intent and procurement strategies
* Influence specifications and preferred solutions through technical discussions, presentations and relationship‐led engagement
* Maintain accurate opportunity tracking and reporting through CRM systems
* Work closely with estimating, engineering and delivery teams to ensure smooth handover from pre‐sales through to tender and award
* Strengthen brand presence within the builder and architectural community through consistent market engagement
* Support growth across data centre, industrial and complex commercial projects
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager or specification‐led role within construction, D&C or building products
* Strong working knowledge of BCI and EstimateOne
* Demonstrated success engaging builders and architects at early project stages
* Confident communicator with the ability to build credibility with technical and commercial stakeholders
* Self‐driven, well organised and comfortable managing a large opportunity pipeline
* Experience within data centres, industrial, commercial or technically complex construction projects highly regarded
