Your Role
We are looking for a full-time General Practitioner based in Kununurra, WA.
As a General Practitioner at OVAHS, you will report to the Senior Medical Officer and play a vital role in delivering comprehensive and culturally sensitive healthcare services to the Aboriginal community.
Responsibilities
* Delivering high-quality primary healthcare services including diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditions
* Demonstrating cultural sensitivity and respect for Aboriginal traditions and practices in healthcare delivery
* Managing chronic diseases and implementing evidence-based interventions to improve health outcomes
* Developing and delivering health promotion programs and educating patients on preventive measures and healthy lifestyle choices
* Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care
* Advocating for the health rights and needs of the Aboriginal community and contributing to policy development
* Participating in continuous quality improvement activities and supporting the effectiveness of the quality management system
* Upholding the organisation's mission, values, and promoting a positive workplace culture
What You Need
* AHPRA registration
* Working with Children's Check
* National police check
* Australian Medical Degree or equivalent recognised degree
* Driver’s licence
* FRACGP or ACRRM Fellowship or working towards recognition
