Job Title: Cashier
A cashier is responsible for timely, efficient and accurate cash and credit card transactions.
* Cashiers are also responsible for setting up, maintaining and cleaning their workstation.
The ideal candidate will be able to prepare simple menu items, sell items, collect payment and make correct change.
They will interact with customers to ensure superior customer satisfaction and provide quick, efficient, accurate and friendly service to all guests.
* Cashiers must verify I.D. on all customers ordering alcohol and suggestively sell and up sell items.
* Maintaining a clean, neat and safe work area is crucial.
* Cashiers must also interact with co-workers to ensure compliance with company service standards, company inventory and cash control procedures.
The successful candidate must have ability to perform arithmetic operations involving all Australian monetary units (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
Qualifications:
* Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
* Ability to interact with co-workers to assure compliance with company service standards.
* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
* Candidates must be able to work fluently in English.
* Ability to work in an open-air environment during all climate conditions.
* Candidates must be able to lift and carry items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds, up and down stairs/ramps.
* Ability to work all events, including extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
* Candidates must meet state and local health requirements for food handlers and alcoholic beverage services.
Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job-specific safety training.
