What you'll be doing
Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate clinical education programs to support ongoing professional clinical development of nursing and midwifery staff to maintain quality care outcomes for patients and clients.
Nurse Educators are highly valued and vital positions within the Far West LHD as they ensure our patients receive exceptional levels of care by advancing the skills of our staff. Our ideal candidate will have vast clinical experience and tertiary qualifications in education and training.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible.
- Current nursing/midwifery registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Current Certificate as a Workplace Trainer and Assessor (currently Certificate IV) or willingness to work towards and attain certificate within 12 months of commencement of position.
- Demonstrated three years' experience as a Registered Nurse providing preceptorship and mentoring to clinicians using adult learning principles and facilitation skills.
- Credentialed as an Advanced Life Support Instructor, or willingness to obtain within 12 months of commencement of position.
- Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills as a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, advanced computer skills and use of software programs to develop and deliver education.
- Eligibility to drive in NSW and preparedness to travel across rural and remote areas.
