Key Responsibilities:
* Network Design & Implementation:
Assist in designing, configuring, and implementing network solutions (e.g., LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless networks) based on client requirements.
* Network Monitoring & Maintenance:
Monitor network performance, identify issues, and proactively troubleshoot to ensure optimal functionality.
* Troubleshooting & Support:
Provide technical support for network-related issues, including diagnosing and resolving connectivity problems, device failures, and performance bottlenecks.
* Security Management:
Implement and enforce network security protocols, firewalls, and encryption methods to ensure data integrity and protection from security threats.
* Upgrades & Improvements:
Perform routine upgrades to hardware and software to enhance network performance and capabilities.
* Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain detailed documentation for network configurations, performance metrics, and troubleshooting procedures.
* Collaboration:
Work with IT teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless network integration with other IT services.
* Disaster Recovery & Backup Solutions:
Implement network disaster recovery strategies and ensure business continuity through backup and failover solutions.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree
in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
* 1-3 years of experience in network engineering or a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of
networking protocols
(e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF).
* Proficiency in
network devices
(routers, switches, firewalls, access points) and familiarity with network operating systems (e.g., Cisco IOS, Juniper Junos, or others).
* Experience with
network management tools
(e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios).
* Familiarity with
VPN
technologies, remote access solutions, and
wireless network
design.
* Solid understanding of
network security
principles and tools (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS).
* Good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with the ability to resolve complex network issues.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Desirable Attributes:
* Certifications such as
CCNA

CCNP

CompTIA Network+
, or other network-related qualifications.
* Experience with cloud network technologies or hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, etc.).
* Familiarity with network automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible).
* Exposure to
SD-WAN

* Knowledge of
VoIP
and
video conferencing
technologies.
* Previous experience working with
managed services providers
(MSPs) or enterprise networks.
