Site Engineer - $100m Redcliffe Project - $145k-$155k + Super (Immediate Start)

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer for a major ~$100m building and/or civil construction project in Redcliffe, Southeast Queensland. This is a site-based role with immediate start, working closely with the Project Manager, Site Supervisor, and Contract Administrator to deliver works safely, on time, to specification, and within budget.
This position is ideal for a hands-on engineer with strong on-site delivery experience, practical construction knowledge, and proven ability to coordinate subcontractors, manage quality, and handle technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
Site & Construction Delivery
* Support day-to-day site operations to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and construction programme
* Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to maintain workflow, sequencing, and progress
* Monitor construction progress, identify delays or issues early, and implement solutions
* Assist with site establishment, inspections, handover, and defect rectification
Quality Assurance & Compliance
* Implement and maintain QA systems, including ITPs, lot registers, inspection records, and document control
* Conduct site inspections and verify compliance with Australian Standards, codes, project specifications, and authority requirements
* Manage non-conformances (NCRs), raise corrective actions, and close out issues
* Coordinate inspections with consultants, certifiers, engineers, and local authorities
Engineering & Technical Support
* Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents
* Raise RFIs, resolve design and constructability issues, and liaise with design teams
* Assist with quantity take-offs, material procurement, and ordering
* Support set-out, surveying, verification of works, and as-built documentation (as required)
Safety & Environmental
* Promote and enforce WHS policies, participate in toolbox talks, pre-starts, and safety inspections
* Ensure compliance with environmental management plans, site controls, and sustainability requirements
Project Administration
* Maintain accurate site records, including diaries, daily reports, progress photos, and QA documentation
* Assist with progress claims, variations, cost tracking, and commercial reporting
* Liaise effectively with Project Managers, Supervisors, Contract Administrators, consultants, subcontractors, and clients
About you – Essential:
* Degree or qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline (or significant equivalent on-site experience with relevant training)
* Previous experience in a Site Engineer, Project Engineer, or similar site-based engineering role
* Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and site delivery
* Confident reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
* High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and commitment to quality and safety
* Excellent communication and coordination skills – able to work independently and collaboratively
Desirable:
* Experience on building, civil, infrastructure, or commercial projects
* Familiarity with QA systems, ITPs, NCRs, and document management software (e.g. Procore, Aconex, Jobpac, Civil Pro, Asta Powerproject)
* Exposure to Australian Standards, local council requirements, and authority approvals
* Current White Card, First Aid certificate
