The Employability Programs Coordinator reports to the Manager, Career Development and oversees key employability programs, including the Swinburne Employability Award, across the University. The role is responsible for student communications, the design and delivery of workshops, program monitoring and evaluation, reporting on program outcomes and impacts, and collaborating with other university departments.

The position aims to deliver current and effective career development and employability support through employability programs and partnerships with Schools and business units.

Working with broad direction from the Manager, Career Development, the role requires the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment and initiative, and build effective relationships with students, academic staff, and professional staff across the University.

This is a part-time .8 FTE position based at our Hawthorn campus.

About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

* Proven experience managing institution-wide programs, ideally employability programs.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond effectively to unexpected situations.
* Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of career development theories and frameworks.
* Experience developing and managing relationships with schools and academic partners to deliver career development learning within curriculum programs.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment to achieve shared objectives.
* Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and enthusiasm in taking on new opportunities and challenges.
* Demonstrated ability to foster an inclusive, healthy, and safe environment, and provide support and guidance to a diverse range of students and clients.
Qualifications
* A qualification in a relevant discipline, e.g. Career Development, Human Resource Management, Psychology, supported by relevant industry experience.
* Eligibility for membership of a CICA recognised career professional association.
