We have an exciting position available for a skilled and self-motivated Workshop Mechanic to join our team. As the standalone onsite Mechanic, you'll be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of plant, machinery, and equipment to ensure they remain in safe and reliable working condition. You'll work closely with construction crews and supervisors to support operational needs, while managing your own day-to-day priorities.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mobile plant and machinery such as winders, associated cages, robotic cutters and other specialized equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently
• Coordinate parts ordering and inventory as required
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Liaise with supervisors and construction crews to minimize downtime and plan repairs effectively
About the role
This is a standalone role, however you'll be well supported by our experienced workshop team who will provide initial training, technical advice, and ongoing remote support whenever needed. You'll also be a key part of our vibrant team, so while you'll be the key mechanic on site, you'll never be working without backup.
About you
You must be trade qualified in a relevant area, enjoy taking ownership of your work, solving problems independently, and keeping things running smoothly. You should be comfortable using and navigating a computer with basic Word and Excel skills. A positive team player who communicates well and takes initiative is essential. Safety-focused with a commitment to quality workmanship, you'll maintain a clean and organized workspace. A current driver's licence (HR or higher desirable but not essential) is required.
