Horticultural Excellence is seeking an enthusiastic person interested in gardening to be trained in best practice Horticultural Skills to join our team in Sydney, NSW. This full-time role will involve maintaining and enhancing the beautiful gardens and outdoor spaces at our client sites throughout the local area. If you take pride in your horticultural work and have a keen eye for detail, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
What you'll be doing
- Performing regular maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, weeding, and pruning to keep gardens and grounds well‑manicured
- Planting and caring for a variety of flora including flowers, shrubs, and trees
- Assisting with the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems
- Identifying and addressing any pest or disease issues in a timely manner
- Ensuring all gardening tools and equipment are properly maintained
- Adhering to all relevant health and safety guidelines
- Providing excellent customer service to our clients
What we're looking for
- A reliable, fit and keen person willing to learn best practice Horticulture.
- Knowledge of common garden plants, their care requirements, and optimal growing conditions
- Proficiency in the use of gardening tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Relevant qualifications in horticulture or a related field would be highly regarded
