Position: Mechanical Tradesperson

Hours per week: 38 hrs. p/w
Location: Kwinana, WA
Pay Rate to: Up to $54.48p/h + OT depending on experience
About the role:
This role is responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance, fault finding, repair and commissioning of mechanical components across water and wastewater assets. You'll work both independently and as part of a team, supporting operational reliability across the region.
Responsibilities:
* Perform scheduled and breakdown maintenance on water and wastewater systems
* Install mechanical components and carry out complex isolation and shutdown procedures
* Diagnose faults using SCADA, OIPs and operator collaboration
* Provide on‑the‑job training and supervision to apprentices and other personnel
* Plan and prepare maintenance work and assist with project execution
* Liaise with engineers to resolve complex technical issues
* Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental and regulatory requirements
* Participate in call-out/standby rosters as required
Key Skills & Experience:
* Mechanical Trade Certificate – Fitter
* Relevant High-Risk licences
* WA MR Class Driver's Licence
* Construction White Card
* First Aid Certificate
* Dogman Certificate
* Confined Space Entry competency
* Gas Test Atmosphere
* Strong experience with pumping systems, hydraulics and gas chlorination
* Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Strong communication skills and commitment to safety
