As a Chef at BOLD CUISINE PTY LTD, you will be an integral part of our kitchen team, playing a key role in the preparation and presentation of our exceptional dishes. Task & responsibilities
* Design and plan diverse and creative menus, balancing customer preferences with seasonal ingredients, while ensuring cost‑efficiency.
* Calculate and control food and labour costs, ensuring the kitchen remains within budget without compromising on quality.
* Oversee the ordering of food supplies, maintaining optimal stock levels and ensuring all ingredients meet the restaurant's high standards.
* Supervise every step of food preparation and presentation to ensure dishes meet the restaurant's quality, taste, and aesthetic standards.
* Work closely with Managers, Dietitians, and both kitchen and front‑of‑house staff to resolve any food‑related issues and ensure smooth operations.
* Provide hands‑on demonstrations of cooking techniques and advise kitchen staff on best practices to maintain high culinary standards.
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring consistent flavour, presentation, and timely service.
* Ensure strict adherence to hygiene regulations, providing guidance and enforcing cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen.
* Recruit and train kitchen staff, fostering skill development and maintaining a high level of professionalism and efficiency.
* Oversee the freezing and preservation of ingredients to maintain freshness, minimize waste, and ensure a steady supply of quality food.
* Organise and plan the preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring efficient workflow and timely service in a high‑volume environment.
Qualification & experience
* Experience: 1‑3 years of experience working as a Chef in a high‑volume kitchen.
* Qualifications: Relevant culinary qualifications (e.g., Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent).
* Strong knowledge of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and cooking techniques.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining a high standard of food quality.
