What you'll do
* Spend 1:1 time with a resident (companionship and social connection)
* Chat, listen, and support positive engagement
* Assist with simple activities based on interest, such as:
o Reading aloud, puzzles, card games, gentle craft
o Short walks around the home/garden (as appropriate)
o Music, reminiscence chats, life stories
* Encourage residents to feel included and supported
* Work alongside the Lifestyle team to match residents with suitable volunteers
What we're looking for
* Warm, patient, respectful and a good listener
* Comfortable sitting with someone who may have dementia, low mood, or anxiety
* Reliable and able to follow staff guidance and confidentiality expectations
* No experience required — training and support provided
Days/Times
* Flexible — 30–60 minutes per visit, weekly or fortnightly
* We'll match you with a resident and a time that suits you
