Database Administrator Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and providing operational support for database services infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities:
* Configure, monitor, and maintain SQL Server databases, including performance tuning, indexing, query optimisation, and troubleshooting.
* Implement access controls, encryption, and audit trails to ensure data security and compliance with legislation.
* Create and manage backup schedules, ensure reliable data recovery, and regularly test restore procedures.
* Write, debug, and optimise SQL queries using performance tuning and monitoring tools.
* Analyse complex issues and clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong numerical and analytical skills.
* Degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Management, or related fields.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise across teams and stakeholders.

Contract Details:
* 12 months contract with 2 x 12 month extensions.
* Must be able to obtain Baseline clearance.
