The Role
As a Site Foreperson, you will work closely with the Construction Manager and the project Manager and site team and be responsible for ensuring that the completion of the project falls within required timeframes. The role will involve managing deadlines and liaising with sub-contractors and other stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for the project. Our client base includes Government as well as Education and Childcare, Health and Aged Care, Residential and Commercial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
* Actively working on the tools
* Co-ordination of sub-contractors, suppliers, and materials deliveries
* Developing and building strong rapport with site teams, internal and external stakeholders
* Management of the construction program along with the Project Manager and Construction Manager
* Liaison with the Project Manager and Construction Manager to identify variations and claims
* Managing OHS compliance onsite including site inductions
* Oversee onsite construction with a thorough understanding of the scope, BCA and standards and project time frames and site operations on a day-to-day basis
Key Requirements
* Trade qualification as a carpenter
* Senior first Aid preferable
* Reliable
* Current Drivers Licence
* White Card
* Leadership skills
* OHS knowledge
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Ability to solve problems and manage conflict effectively
* A commitment to quality and an eye for detail
* Previous experience as a foreman or supervising in commercial and residential projects
* 2 relevant current references
