We are seeking a Digital Content Coordinator to supports the authorities strategic priorities through the coordination of high quality, engaging, accessible and plain-language content across digital communications channels, with a focus on intranet and corporate social media accounts.
You will use evidence, organisational understanding and planning to ensure the content is high quality, fit for purpose and meets the needs of the people who need support most., when they need it.
Reporting to the Digital Communications and Engagement Manager, you will work three days per week in a flexible and supportive environment, within a small digital focused team.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Support the coordination of digital communications channels, publishing content on digital channels ensuring that:
- It is accurate, current and meets high quality digital content usability standards
- It conforms to the techniques to meet WCAG accessibility success criteria
- It complies with policies, procedures and style guides
- Work with the Digital Communications team to plan and coordinate regular content audits, ensuring content is relevant, reviewed and up to date
- Develop and deliver training on digital content areas, including using our content management systems, writing for the web, social media usage, web accessibility best practice, to support content authors to meet the organisation's digital content standards
- Contribute to the Digital Communications team's use of evidence and best practice to make recommendations about content development, ensuring the effective operation of our digital communications channels
**About You**:
- Demonstrated experience working with a content management system (Drupal and SharePoint experience preferred but not essential)
- Working knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and website usability best practice principles
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple corporate social media channels and adapting content for different audiences and in different formats including text, image, audio and video
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including plain language expertise
- Demonstrated experience using web and social media analytics tools, delivering reports and providing advice to optimise web and social media usage
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (online or digital communications or related field) or equivalent professional experience (mandatory)
- High proficiency in using content management systems and Microsoft Office software (mandatory)
- Basic graphic and digital design skills to develop and prepare images for web publication in line with style guidelines (mandatory)
- A demonstrated understanding of website design, information architecture and website usability principles (mandatory)
- Experience editing HTML source code, using Drupal and SharePoint to build and edit websites, using Google Analytics (highly desirable)
- Demonstrated experience of maintaining online content systems to meet Australian government standards and WCAG accessibility guidelines (highly desirable)
