You will work closely with project managers, technical specialists, and clients to ensure design outcomes are fully integrated, technically robust, and aligned with project objectives.You will be responsible for:* Leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams across concept, preliminary, detailed design and construction stages* Managing design programs, budgets, risks, internal and external interfaces and quality processes* Provide technical guidance and drive decision making throughout all stages of design* Working closely with clients, project managers and engineering leads to define design scope and deliverables* Facilitating design workshops, peer reviews and design assurance activities* Supporting bids and proposals, including defining design strategy and methodology* Contributing to the growth and capability development of the Energy design community within Beca**About You**You're a collaborative and solutions-focused design leader who thrives in complex project environments. You bring a strong technical understanding of the power industry and a track record of successful design management on large-scale infrastructure projects.You will have:* Significant experience working in the energy / power sector (e.g. transmission, distribution, substations, HV infrastructure, generation, or renewables)* Proven experience as a Design Manager, Design Lead, or similar role on multi-disciplinary engineering projects* Strong understanding of engineering design processes, inter-disciplinary coordination, problem-solving, design assurance, and quality management* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills* Ability to navigate complex interfaces across disciplines, contractors, and clients* Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical or related)At Beca, you'll be surrounded by people who believe in purpose, creativity, and delivering real impact.
