The Role
We are looking for Fire Protection Equipment Technician who can work within a dynamic and high performing environment.
Key duties will include but not limited to:
* Set up and place into service various fire protection devices, including portable extinguishers, hose reels, hydrants, fire blankets, and related fittings.
* Conduct routine inspections, functional testing, and scheduled maintenance of fire safety systems to maintain performance and ensure compliance with applicable Australian Standards.
* Inspect, test, and service emergency and exit lighting systems, including battery units and discharge testing procedures.
* Fit, examine, and maintain fire and smoke doors, fire-rated seals, and other passive fire protection features to ensure proper containment of fire and smoke.
* Inspect, test, and service gaseous suppression systems and foam-based firefighting systems in accordance with manufacturer instructions and technical requirements.
* Perform regular system evaluations to detect faults, malfunctions, or performance concerns, and carry out necessary repairs or part replacements.
* Accurately complete service documentation, including inspection reports, maintenance records, and compliance certifications.
* Carry out all duties in line with workplace health and safety obligations, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
* Communicate with clients and site personnel regarding maintenance programs, system status, and any corrective actions required.
Key Requirements
* Minimum 1 year of experience in relevant field is required
* Practical capability to install, test, commission, and maintain fire protection equipment and systems
* Service-oriented and able to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Salary
Starting from $90,000 annually exclusive of superannuation
