About The Role:
This is a Permanent position with a 4:3 roster, FIFO from Cairns or Darwin to Groote Eylandt.
As the Tailings Facility Engineer, you will oversee the integrity, safety, and performance of tailings storage facilities across their lifecycle, from operation to closure.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Leading risk identification, mitigation, and reporting for tailings infrastructure.
Ensuring compliance with GISTM and internal safety frameworks.
Coordinating cross-functional teams on tailings design, construction, and maintenance.
Overseeing water management and surveillance to uphold operational standards.
About You:
You have extensive experience in the design, construction, operation, and monitoring of TSF and water dams.
You drive tailings safety through technical leadership and independent judgement.
You collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
You apply deep knowledge of TSF design, regulation, and risk management.
You communicate clearly across all levels with strong influencing ability.
Required Qualifications:
Engineering degree qualification in relevant discipline (Civil, Geotechnical Soil Mechanics, Mining).
