Job Overview
We're seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a key member, you'll conduct thorough engine inspections, diagnose faults, and perform repairs and replacements with precision.
You'll be responsible for:
* Conducting thorough detection and diagnosis of faults in engines and associated parts.
* Performing dismantling and removal of engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components.
* Executing repairs and replacements of worn or defective parts.
* Reassembling engines and parts post-repair with accuracy and attention to detail.
* Testing and fine-tuning mechanical parts after repairs.
* Developing and executing preventive maintenance schedules for heavy diesel equipment.
* Utilizing welding equipment and fabrication techniques to repair or modify metal components.
Requirements
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar setting is required.
* A relevant Australian Trade Certificate is mandatory.
