**About the Role**:
Curtin University is looking for an experienced Research Officer to join our high-performing, values-driven research team on a full-time, fixed-term until 31 Dec 2025 contract (with the possibility of extension).

The Research Officer will provide expert research and administrative support to an exciting range of women's health projects, led by researchers within the School of Nursing at Curtin University in Perth.

You will be working in small teams to assist in coordinating various research activities and working with project team members and stakeholders to ensure effective management and delivery of research project objectives.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Coordinating project activities with guidance and support, including facilitating the development and maintenance of project management plans and documentation.
- Liaising with key stakeholders to ensure effective contribution to the project.
- Providing a range of project management and administration support, including developing and maintaining stakeholder databases, communication plans and activities, and project resources such as websites and flyers.
- Collecting, processing and contributing to the analysis of research data including interpretation and documentation of findings, under the guidance of a Research Fellow.
- Providing executive support to project committees and meetings.
- Helping to identify and resolve operational issues and project risks.
- Upholding high professional standards, modelling organisational and lab values.

**Selection Criteria - Who we are looking for**:

- **Educational Background and Experience**: Completion of a relevant degree with substantial relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Ideal background within health science field including public health, allied health, nursing, midwifery or psychology.
- **Research and Analytical Skills**: Demonstrated discipline-specific knowledge and experience in relevant research methods, including demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, analyse and interpret statistical data and synthesise information effectively to inform decision-making and reporting.
- **Organisational and Project Management Skills**: Proven ability to effectively coordinate and implement project activities, demonstrating strong organisational skills, intrinsic motivation and a proactive approach to managing work activities and deliverables.
- **Interpersonal and Communication Skills**: Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication abilities, with a proven track record of effectively liaising with a diverse range of individuals and stakeholders, exhibiting cross-cultural sensitivity and adaptability. Excellent writing skills including the ability to write for a range of audiences.
- **Team Collaboration**: Proven experience working collaboratively within a team environment, showing respect for diversity, providing support to colleagues, accepting guidance and direction, and contributing effectively toward achieving group objectives.

**Desirable**:

- Previous experience in a tertiary education environment.
- Interest and experience in women's health research and implementation.
- Website and project resource graphic design skills.
- Experience and understanding of ethics and governance processes.
- Experience with statistical analysis packages such SPSS, as well as survey platforms such as REDCap, Qualtrics.
- Higher degree by research
