Job Role: Building Maintenance Officer
The role of the Building Maintenance Officer involves overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of council facilities under the guidance of a senior coordinator. This includes managing minor works, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislative standards.
The officer will be responsible for investigating and reporting on building issues, implementing proactive maintenance solutions, and assisting with preparing specifications for works to be carried out on council buildings. Additionally, they will be responsible for implementing corrective maintenance plans, recording and maintaining data, and responding to customer requests and contractor supervision.
Requirements:
* A trade certificate or tertiary qualification in a related field, such as building, facilities, or construction, or equivalent experience
* A current Victorian driver's license
