About this Role
This position is responsible for leading the strategic planning, development, and execution of product initiatives for designated vehicle lineups at GAC, with a focus on optimising model competitiveness, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting cross-functional collaboration, and driving overall sales and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of product strategies for designated vehicle lineups, aiming to enhance the sales performance and profitability of GAC's models.
- Conduct analysis and develop optimal model strategies, including Model Line-ups/specifications, Pricing, grade walks, variant mixes, showroom logic, and overall competitiveness.
- Support the team in preparing and submitting necessary documentation for product certification, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Participate in the planning and execution of product tests to evaluate performance, safety, and compliance. Analyse test results to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure clarity and accuracy of technical content on spec sheets and marketing materials for reliable product details.
- Manage reporting systems to provide accurate data, track vehicle sales, customer feedback, and market share post-launch.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing to support successful go-to-market planning.
- Other ad hoc duties are assigned by the management team.
About You
- Over 2 years of experience in product planning, product marketing, product engineering, or strategic planning within the automotive industry or related fields.
- A solid understanding of the automotive industry sales and marketing lifecycle, from strategy development to execution.
- Proven expertise in market research and data analysis to support effective cost planning.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Chinese is a strong plus.
