Role Overview
As a Revenue Manager at BWH Hotels, you will oversee a portfolio of properties, executing effective strategies for total revenue management, pricing, yield management, forecasting, and channel delivery. Based at our Sydney head office, you will work within our expanding Revenue Management Team.
Responsibilities
* Monitor competitor pricing across all revenue-generating departments, analyse local market dynamics and demand drivers, and recommend appropriate pricing and market mix strategies to the Revenue Management Team.
* Lead and facilitate weekly revenue and yield strategy meetings with the General Manager, Director of Sales & Marketing, Reservations Manager, and Front Office Manager. Prepare and present relevant reports, performance analyses, market trends, and key insights to support decision-making.
* Develop, approve, and implement pricing and inventory strategies, including group and conference proposals exceeding nine rooms per night, in collaboration with the Hotel and Sales.
* Manage and optimise revenue management systems on a daily basis, including yield controls, inventory balancing, rate management, and system configuration. Where automated yield systems are unavailable, manage room inventory through manual controls.
* Oversee all distribution channels, including Online Travel Agencies (OTAs), Global Distribution Systems (GDS), direct and indirect online channels, ensuring rate integrity, room type management, and compliance with brand standards and Lowest Internet Rate Guarantee policies.
* Conduct annual revenue management audits in partnership with the Group Revenue Director to ensure best practices and maximise revenue opportunities across all revenue-generating departments.
* Provide technical support, training, and guidance to Reservations and Front Office teams on upselling, negotiation techniques, revenue optimisation, and system utilisation.
Qualifications
* Minimum of three years' experience in hotel operations, preferably within Revenue Management, Reservations, or Front Office functions.
* Strong understanding of revenue management principles, hotel pricing strategies, yield optimisation, market segmentation, and distribution channel management.
* Excellent analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make commercially sound recommendations.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience working with multiple Property Management Systems (PMS), and revenue management platforms.
* Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, organisational, time management, and decision making abilities, with the agility to adapt to changing business conditions.
* Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with guests, colleagues, management, and external partners.
* Demonstrated ability to motivate, train, and support team members while maintaining high professional standards.
* Strong verbal and written English communication skills; additional language proficiency is advantageous.
* Excellent report writing and documentation skills with a high level of attention to detail.
