Your new role
As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning. You'll lead a team of finance professionals and work closely with senior leadership to ensure financial sustainability and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include:
Leading the preparation of annual budgets and monthly financial reports
Ensuring compliance with statutory reporting and audit requirements
Managing day-to-day financial operations including rates, accounts payable/receivable, and treasury
Driving continuous improvement in financial systems and processes
Supporting financial literacy across the organisation and contributing to strategic decision-making
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business, or Accounting
CPA or CA membership (desirable)
Proven experience in financial leadership, preferably within government or complex organisations
Strong analytical, strategic, and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change and deliver results
A current Queensland Class C Driver Licence
