Harvey Norman Commercial Project Division is a leading supplier of sanitary ware and appliances to the Victorian building, plumbing and development sectors. We are rapidly expanding in the Victorian market and are looking for a skilled Purchasing Officer to join the busy team located in Laverton North. Our offer is unique to the market as we can provide a full product solution for our core customer’s needs; Architects, Builders, Designers, Developers and Plumbers.
In this role you will:
* Purchase stock from a variety of suppliers to meet deadlines and maintain stock levels
* Organise stock call-ups in line with customer project schedules
* Ensure best possible pricing is obtained using various resources
* Review backorders and follow up delivery times with suppliers daily
* Keep relevant departments informed of back orders and due dates
* Answer internal and external queries regarding purchases to assist our end customer
* Assist and respond to any purchasing discrepancies
* Liaise with suppliers & maintain relationships
* Provide full support to Sales teams & account managers
* Provide feedback to management, maintain accurate purchasing records
* Participate in stocktake twice yearly
* Any other duties that may be required from time to time to fulfil your role
