- Flexible working arrangements as per the MGP role
- On call is a requirement of the contract
Key Responsibilities
You will be joining the team of Midwifery Group Practice (MGP). The MGP is a midwifery led service & provides antenatal, birthing and postnatal care to low risk women as well as antenatal and postnatal care to women and families as clinically required if they choose to birth in an obstetric led unit.
As the Midwife at this regional hospital, you will be living only two hours from Perth, so this is perfect if you have also wanted to get some regional and remote nursing experience while not being too far from a main city.
The Location
Activities around town exist for all visitors, ranging from nature trails to adventure activities, and drive trails highlighting our beautiful large-scale public artworks, and many historical assets. Reserves provide you with the chance to view the region’s unique flora and fauna, with spring being the best time to view wildflowers. Don’t miss the chance to take in the beautiful views from the Mt Ommanney Lookout, situated just outside the Northam townsite.
To be eligible for this position, you must have the following:
- Current AHPRA registration with no restrictions
- At least 2 years of midwifery experience (including delivery, antenatal, and postnatal care)
- Current C Class Driver's License and the capacity to self drive around the region as required
- Must have full Australian working rights (i.e., Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, a valid Working Visa, or New Zealand Citizenship)
