The Role
The SEA3000 Project is seeking an experienced, committed and passionate person who undertake the APS 6 Deputy Project Manager role within the General Purpose Frigates (GPF) Branch. The APS 6 Deputy Project Manager will work under limited direction within the team/branch in support of the Project Director and Project Managers. They will plan, manage, and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment, exercising independent and sound judgement.
The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
* Provide operational support to project management and facilitate administrative and coordination requirements;
* Research, draft and prepare briefs, complex correspondence and reports including submissions for committee consideration;
* Work collaboratively, operate as an effective team member and provide constructive feedback;
* Be responsible for actively managing key stakeholder relationships and will be required to identify relevant stakeholders' expectations and concerns to develop and communicate methodologies and practices to achieve outcomes;
* Resolve problems using expertise, taking the initiative to identify alternative courses of action;
* Engage Australian and international stakeholders to assist in achieving strategic objectives for GPF;
* Manage project financial reporting and analysis activities, and maintain commercial records;
* Develop, implement, and monitor project budget controls and strategies;
* Build and contribute to team capability while ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory and policy frameworks.
