Student Association Project Coordinator Position Overview

Job Description
As the Student Association Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the allocation of funds to support student activities, events, and services. You will work closely with student leaders and staff to ensure that these funds are used effectively and benefit all students.
* Support the University and student association Treasurers in managing SSAF funding, collaborating with Finance to guarantee accuracy and adherence to legislative requirements.
* Assist student associations in developing governance frameworks and policies to ensure proper distribution and tracking of SSAF funds to affiliated clubs and societies.
* Oversee the reporting of SSAF allocations and expenditures, ensuring full compliance with relevant legislation.
* Provide comprehensive financial support by maintaining records, processing payments, purchase orders, and invoices, while actively monitoring and reporting on budget expenditures.
* Lead projects to standardize processes and systems, enhancing efficiency and consistency across student association operations.
* Offer administrative and financial assistance to the SSAF Governance Committee, including managing meetings, tracking proposals, and supporting reporting and communications.
* Collaborate with student leaders in clubs and societies as the main point of contact for students and University stakeholders.
* Develop resources and deliver annual training sessions to equip student members with the skills needed to manage SSAF funds effectively.
* Provide high-level administrative support aligned with the strategic and operational objectives of Student Associations.
* Foster and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, representing the University with professionalism.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this position, you will need strong interpersonal skills, organisational skills, and analytical and problem-solving skills. A degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field is also highly desirable.
