Kawana Waters State College is a high performing, co-educational P-12 College. The college has two adjacent campuses. A primary campus (530 students) and secondary campus (1500 students), aligned in vision, values and strategy. We are seeking a Schools Officer, Grounds
for a temporary part-time position (45.6 hours per fortnight or 0.60FTE) for a period of 6 months, unless otherwise determined. In your role as Schools Officer, Grounds you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds on our Primary Campus, however, may be required to assist

About the Role:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
* Maintain school grounds, ovals, lawns, gardens, and vegetation, including mowing, watering, planting, soil care, and use of fertilisers and insecticides in line with WHS requirements.
* Operate, maintain, and arrange servicing of grounds care equipment, ensuring safe storage and handling of chemicals, fuels, and materials.
* Ensure a safe work environment by complying with WHS policies and procedures across all grounds and maintenance activities.
* Coordinate rubbish removal and attend to, or arrange, repairs and maintenance of school facilities, including fences, paving, gates, irrigation, and swimming pools.
* Order authorised supplies and support grounds improvement projects, outdoor sporting facilities preparation, and field laboratory duties where required.
Previous experience in maintenance sports fields/oval will be highly regarded.
