About the Role:
This is a strategic and operational leadership opportunity for a seasoned finance professional. As Finance Manager, you will oversee the financial operations of a multi-campus institution, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and long-term sustainability. You will lead a dedicated finance team and work closely with senior stakeholders to drive financial stewardship and process improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the finance team across accounts payable, receivables, payroll, and reporting
* Preparing budgets, financial statements, and statutory reports
* Managing internal controls, reconciliations, and asset registers
* Overseeing student fee administration and liaising with families on financial arrangements
* Supporting payroll and tax compliance (FBT, BAS, GST)
* Contributing to system upgrades and operational improvements
* Collaborating with other operational leaders to foster team culture and capability
This is a full-time, ongoing position reporting to the Business Manager.
Your Profile:
You are a confident and articulate finance leader who thrives in a collaborative environment. You bring a strategic mindset with hands-on financial management experience and are comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including families, staff, and senior leadership.
Key attributes:
* CPA or CA qualified (or equivalent)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Proven experience in financial leadership roles
* Proficient in financial systems and reporting tools
* Ability to manage competing priorities and drive outcomes
* Experience in education is welcome but not essential—industry backgrounds are equally valued
* Commitment to ethical practice and continuous improvement
* Ability to work 5 days a week onsite
