Job Title
A logistics engineer is responsible for improving process efficiency and reducing costs in a warehouse environment. The role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to drive change.
About the Role
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and develop solutions to implement them.
* Work with sites to improve their processes in line with lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Deliver project improvements by identifying opportunities, re-engineering processes, driving efficiency through process change, and redesigning and implementing operational layout changes.
The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in industrial engineering or a related field and relevant experience gained in a similar role.
Requirements
* Tertiary qualification in industrial engineering or a related field.
* Solid experience gained in a related role in any industry (preference for logistics/supply chain, manufacturing, resources, or related).
* Knowledge and hands-on experience with utilising process improvement tools, Kaizen, Lean, etc.
* Clear communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to draw conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.
* Strong MS Excel skills including use of VLOOKUPS, pivot tables (bonus: VBA, Macros).
