Temporary Full Time - 12-month contract
The Rehabilitation Unit at Tamworth Hospital is a 22-bed inpatient unit and provides comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation services to the northern sector of HNELHD and includes vital services including:
* Transitional Living Unit for Brain Injury
* New England Brain Injury Rehabilitation service (Neuropsychology, Physiotherapy, Dietitian, Speech Pathologist, Occupational therapist, social work, Paediatric case manager, Aboriginal liaison officer)
* New England Spinal Cord Injury Service (Coordinator Caroline Cone)
* The Amputee clinics (attended by ForMotion Prosthetics and Orthotics)
* Outpatient clinics and the Outreach clinics for our regional towns of Moree and Narrabri.
Our team comprises 2 Rehab Physicians, a Registrar (we're accredited for advanced training with AFRM (RACP), supported by a Junior Medical Officer, an expert Registered Nursing team and MDT team including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Speech Pathology, and Dietetics.
We proudly support the teaching of Medical Students and work closely with the Primary Care General Practice community.
