About the opportunity:
* The opportunity is to join our team, currently working across numerous projects, varying in field requirements. These include fly in and out projects, short local field work, and week duration drive in field work, with an aim to balance field work and office work at a 50/50 split.
* Manage ecological projects from initial scope and client liaison, directing fauna and botany field surveys, through to commercial delivery and offset determination.
* Utilise your expertise in knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and field ecology activities including coordinating and delivery of multi-team field surveys.
* Leverage your networking skills to build and maintain strong relationships with our client.
* Preparation of technical reports, field surveys, impact assessments, analytics, approvals and more.
Why you're a good match:
* Tertiary qualification in Ecology and/or Natural Resource Management or equivalent.
* 3+ years postgraduate experience in fauna/botany surveys in QLD, with experience in the Brigalow Belt bioregion highly valuable.
* Experience in navigating relevant Commonwealth and State legislation.
* Well versed in designing and implementing surveys within a threatened species and communities environment.
* Working knowledge of consulting practice with or motivated to be mentored in project management skills.
* Demonstrated experience in preparing, submitting, and managing ecological reports.
* Willingness to undertake field work when required.
* Current drivers licence, White Card and First Aid Certificate.
