We are a leading surveying company that works on civil construction projects across South East Queensland and are looking for a Survey Technician to support the delivery of survey services across civil construction projects.

The Role
The Survey Technician will assist with survey set‐out, pick‐up (as‐built), and data collection activities on active construction sites. Working under the guidance of Senior or Lead Surveyors, the role involves operating survey equipment, capturing and managing field data, and supporting the preparation of digital plans and models.
You will also contribute to a positive team culture, transparent communication on site, and protected, quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with survey set‐out and pick‐up using total stations, GNSS, and other field equipment
* Accurately record and manage field measurements for construction and QA purposes
* Upload, check, and maintain survey data in field instruments and machine control systems
* Support preparation of digital files and models for site and machine control use
* Assist with importing survey data into CAD and survey software for as‐built documentation
* Help maintain survey equipment, including daily care, storage, and basic servicing
* Interpret plans and specifications with guidance from senior survey staff
About You
* Experience in a survey or civil construction environment
* Understanding of basic surveying principles and field techniques
* Experience using survey equipment such as total stations and GNSS receivers
* Certificate III in Surveying, Undergraduate Certificate in Surveying, or equivalent (desirable)
* White Card
* Current Driver's Licence
* Experience or exposure to 12d or TBC (desirable)
* UAS/Drone accreditation and First Aid/CPR (desirable)
