About Storemasta: Storemasta is a leading Australian manufacturer specializing in compliant dangerous goods storage solutions. We are seeking a skilled Metal Machinist/CNC Press Brake Operator to join our team, contributing to the production of high‑quality sheet metal products used in our innovative storage systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate CNC press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal into specific shapes, and select appropriate tooling based on material types and thickness.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine correct and accurate production components.
* Inspect finished parts to ensure that the dimensional tolerances and quality standards are met.
* Perform regular maintenance on press brake machines and tools, and conduct preventive maintenance.
* Execute precision machining tasks, such as drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, and thread chasing.
* Load and unload material onto the press brake machine and ensure proper alignment.
* Adhere to all workplace health and safety regulations.
* Ensure machines operate at full capacity, optimizing production output while maintaining quality standards.
* Work as part of a team, communicating effectively to ensure smooth production workflows.
Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; trade qualifications in machining are highly desirable.
* At least 2 years of experience as a CNC machine operator, metal fabrication, machining, or a related field.
* Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
* Strong understanding of CNC machine operation is highly desirable.
* Meticulous and detail‑oriented with good physical condition to handle materials and operate machinery.
* Experience with manual lathe machining; familiarity with other CNC machinery is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work individually and within a team.
Salary: $35–$40 per hour.
