Job Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Chef de Partie/Jnr Sous Chef/Sous Chef to join our team at various venues across Melbourne, Mornington Peninsula and Yarra Valley.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in menu planning, food and labour cost estimation, supplier liaison and ensuring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in menu planning and development
* Estimate food and labour costs
* Liaise with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients
* Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
* Freeze and preserve foods to extend shelf life
Qualifications and Experience:
* Completion of a relevant Commercial Cookery qualification including Cert IV or Diploma of Hospitality
* Minimum of 3 years experience as a chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Requirements:
* Strong work ethic and ability to perform under pressure
* Team-oriented and positive approach
* Familiarity with food safety and OHS guidelines
* Attention to detail and competency with ordering and managing stock
About the Role:
