**Job Summary:**
Provides primary and/or specialty nursing and/or medical care in a variety of healthcare settings, collaborating with physicians according to standard care arrangements and board certification.
This role involves assessing patient health, identifying risk factors, ordering tests, developing treatment plans, and performing interventions consistent with state law and organizational privileges.
The Advanced Practice Nurse may prescribe medications, develop patient education plans, participate in medical rounds, and collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
This position requires critical thinking, self-motivation, and strong interpersonal communication skills, as well as proficiency in computer software programs for data analysis and presentations.
**Responsibilities:
* Delivers advanced nursing care to patients with complex acute, critical, and chronic health conditions.
* Practices in various settings, including neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations.
* Participates in quality monitoring through the review of records and treatment plans for patient outcomes.
* Emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention, and diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems.
**Requirements:
1. Master's or Doctoral Degree in Nursing preferred.
2. Licensed as an RN in State of Ohio, National Certification as a nurse practitioner by nationally accredited organization.
3. Current certificate of authority and certificate to prescribe (or eligible) by Ohio Board of Nursing.
4. Acls or Pals certification may be required based on practice setting.
5. Credentialing as an active member of medical staff and appropriate medical staff privileges.
