About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced IT Service Management (ITSM) Specialist with a strong focus on Service Design and Transition to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in the effective implementation, delivery, and continuous improvement of technology services across the Bank.
You will take the lead in advancing our Service Design and Transition practice, ensuring alignment with ITIL standards and consistently engaging with key stakeholders to architect services that meet business needs, regulatory requirements, and strategic objectives.
This role also involves supporting the wider team in maturing and governing our ITIL-aligned service management practices, collaborating closely with internal teams and external service providers to drive best-practice service delivery. While your core expertise will lie in Service Design, you'll also have opportunities to collaborate with our Problem Management function, gaining exposure to how service design impacts operational stability.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the implementation, execution, and continuous improvement of the Service Design practice, ensuring new and changed services are designed effectively, aligned with ITIL standards, and meet business requirements.
* Drive the advancement and maturity of ITIL practices across the business, contributing to enhanced service quality and operational performance from the outset.
* Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to effectively manage ITSM processes, ensuring clear prioritisation aligned with strategic objectives during the design phase.
* Champion service reporting and metrics analysis from a design perspective, collaborating with teams to define key performance indicators that ensure optimal service delivery post-implementation.
* Optimise and maintain ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) to ensure seamless alignment with ITIL practices and enable accurate, timely reporting for operational and regulatory purposes.
* Facilitate clear communication and strong relationships between business and technology teams to ensure service delivery consistently meets or exceeds expectations.
* Liaise with vendors and service providers during the design phase to ensure services will meet agreed standards, actively managing performance, compliance, and delivery against contractual obligations.
* Drive a culture of continuous service improvement, promoting innovation and fostering collaboration across teams to enhance the stability and reliability of IT services from the design stage.
About You
* You possess an ITIL 4 Foundation Certification; intermediate or advanced ITIL 4 certifications (e.g., Service Design, Service Transition) are highly regarded.
* You have a minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar ITSM role, with demonstrated accountability for Service Design and Transition. Experience in a financial services or regulated industry is a plus.
* You have proven experience in maturing and driving continuous improvement within the ITIL framework.
* You are proficient in-service management platforms like ServiceNow, Jira, or similar, and understand their integration within IT operations.
* You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively and calmly with diverse audiences, including technical teams, business units, and vendors.
* You are adept at assessing complex service management issues and developing effective solutions, even under pressure.
* You can manage multiple tasks effectively, particularly during high-pressure incidents or service delivery situations.
* You have a solid understanding of ITIL practices, including service design, strategy, transition, operation, and continual service improvement.
* While not a mandatory requirement, any experience or understanding of Problem Management principles will be highly valued as you'll have opportunities for cross-functional engagement in this area.
