Position 1: Centre Cook – 6-8 Month Maternity Leave Cover
We are looking for an experienced and organised Centre Cook to join our team for up to an 8-month maternity leave contract. This vital role ensures our children receive healthy, nutritious, and delicious meals every day. This position has an allocated car park on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary guidelines and Centre policies
- Cater to a variety of dietary needs, allergies, and intolerances
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment, following all WHS and food safety standards
- Manage stock control, ordering and budgeting for food and kitchen supplies
- Maintain food safety records and complete daily kitchen checklists, prepare audit documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a cook in an Early Childhood Service or 5+ years in a similar food handling/service role
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices and WHS legislation
- Ability to independently manage all aspects of kitchen operations including menu planning

- Valid Working with Children Check
