Role Outline
As a Senior Field Engineer at Unisys on an Australian government account, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality technical support and services to our clients. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, performing system installations and maintenance, and providing on-site support to ensure the smooth operation of our clients' IT infrastructure. You will also be expected to mentor and guide junior engineers, ensuring they develop the skills necessary to excel in their roles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT, with extensive experience in Deskside Support, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A relevant degree in IT or a related field, along with industry certifications, will be highly regarded. Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in a Deskside support environment performing fault investigation, triaging, and resolution
* Experience with desktop support, server support, hardware, network and software installation and troubleshooting
* Drivers Licence required (Automatic)
* Experience with supporting a corporate Windows environment
* Experience with supporting physical and virtual environments (Desktop and Servers)
* Operating system support (Windows 10 & 7, Linux, and other operating systems)
* Office 365, Outlook, exchange, and other critical business application support Standalone Support
* Printing (installation, deployment, configuration, disposals)
* Complex Software installation and troubleshooting
* Network (triaging, fault diagnostic, root cause analysis)
* Software and Hardware diagnostic skills and building/upgrading PC's
* Test and Tag experience highly regarded
* Asset Management experience highly regarded
* Minimum of 4 years in supporting Deskside support environment
