Chef Role
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Chef to join our team in Forster, NSW. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of relevant work experience and hold a Certificate III (or higher) in Commercial Cookery.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals, maintaining kitchen standards, and ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene requirements. They will also assist with menu planning, portion control, and stock management.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, and light dinner menu items
* Assist with menu planning, portion control, and stock management
* Maintain kitchen standards and ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene requirements
* Supervise or train junior kitchen staff as needed
* Work flexibly between our Forster and Darawank locations
Requirements
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef or Cook in a cafe or bistro environment
* Understanding of kitchen safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
* Ability to work weekends and public holidays during peak seasons
* Team-focused, adaptable, and able to work in both locations
