Join Victoria's Youth Justice Precinct at Malmsbury. Deliver stores' services across at the Malmsbury Youth Justice Precinct. Contribute to improving the outcomes of young people's futures. The Department of Justice and Community Safety (Youth Justice) is responsible for the statutory supervision of young people in the criminal justice system in Victoria focussing on prevention, diversion, and early intervention as the most effective and fiscally responsible ways of reducing youth crime. As an area within the department, Youth Justice is always committed to the demonstration of the departmental values; serve the community, work together, act with integrity, respect other people and make it happen. Youth justice custodial centres accommodate young people aged 12-18 years who have been remanded or sentenced by the Criminal Division of the Children's Court, and some 18-21 year olds sentenced by Adult Courts to a youth justice custodial centre. Youth Justice Custodial Services aim to engage young people in change by addressing their offending behaviour and equipping them with the skills required for positive community participation, within a safe and secure environment. The opportunity Ongoing, full-time position based at the Malmsbury Youth Justice Precinct but working flexibly across other Youth Justice Custodial Precincts (Parkville & Cherry Creek), where needed to respond to operational requirements. VPS2 role: $60,295 - $77,430 per year plus super. As part of a team, deliver stores' services across the sites to meet agreed objectives, service delivery standards and timelines, specified budgetary outcomes, stakeholder expectation and client needs Ensure goods are carefully received and orders are filled and delivered in a timely and diligent manner. Assist in the production of clear, concise accurate and timely financial management reports to management, including Oracle financial system and MYOB inventory system. Ensure all purchases align with DJCS Purchasing and Funding Guidelines. Additionally, maintain the quality assurance activities of the store, including stocktaking, boards of survey, and condemning processes. To be successful in this role you will have: Experience in financial and stock management systems and software applications for stock control and purchasing. Experience providing administrative services preferably within a government environment. Previous experience with Microsoft Suite A current driver's licence is required due to the need to work across different locations. A valid Forklift licence is desirable. You will be required to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) to be maintained by the employee for the period of employment.
