The lab aims to understand the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying neuronal communication, synaptic plasticity, learning and memory.In this role, you will be conducting mouse behavioural studies, surgical procedures, and post-behavioural tissue analyses (immunohistological routines, cells, proteins or RNA isolation). You will get to experience the lab performing a broad range of molecular, cell biology and tissue culture techniques required to complement in vivo-based studies.Key Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited ToManaging and maintaining mouse colonies (genotyping, record keeping, animal ethics application)Performing in vivo and behavioural experimentsAssisting with biochemistry, molecular and cell biology experimentsEnsuring safe operation of research equipment and appropriate storageAssisting with data input and preparing analytical reportsAbout UQAs part of the UQ community, you will have the opportunity to work alongside the brightest minds, who have joined us from all over the world.Everyone here has a role to play.
